Elon Musk has been in the news recently due to his demand that verified Twitter users pay him $8.00 in his capacity as Twitter's New CEO. However, things haven't been going well for him lately because many people have started to speak out against him.
The CEO of Twitter was recently accused of copywriting by a manga creator named Satou Kentarou, who claimed that Elon had used his artwork as a meme without his consent and was now seeking payment.
Twitter社新CEOイーロン・マスクがTwitterで僕の絵を無断転載してるのでとりあえず使用料10億よろしくお願いします。ドルで。 https://t.co/QXU7uLkLJB
— 佐藤健太郎@不死と罰3巻2/8発売予定 (@sato_ken_taro) November 7, 2022
Elon used a piece of Satou sensei’s art from Magical Girl Site, which had 16 physical volumes and was finished in 2019. It was an anime adaptation of a Drama-Horror manga that aired for over six years.
In response to the tweet, Satou Kentarou also posted a few panels from the same manga demonstrating where Elon had taken the image. Additionally, he posted a link to the first volume of this manga on Amazon so that others may purchase it.
Recently, another controversy on Twitter happened because of another mangaka after their account was banned.
Whether the artists who sent this tweet to Satou-Sensei did so for serious or humorous reasons, he still received the visibility he sought by sharing the link for others to purchase his volume.
He also made an outrageous demand for money. He hasn't heard from the CEO just yet, so we'll have to wait and see if this develops into a serious situation or simply another hilarious prank.
